About the Accommodation

 'Jeanie' is 3/4 berth 1990s Coachmen Genius caravan, decorated as an ode to David Bowie. cosy, comfy and with an RnR nod and lots of secret messages hidden throughout. A perfect spot for any Spaceman or a fun (static) ride for anyone else. 

'Jeanie' has one cosy double made from 2 sofas and a table, a single and a Childs bunk. 

There is a kitchen with utensils,  with fridge, hob and oven and a bathroom with (cold) shower and loo. "Lulu' can be used too for an extra shower and toilet but this is shared with the main camp. 

a separate awning can be added for bad weather. 

As with everything at the camp she runs on solar, and there is a usb charging points. . 

'Heather' is a 5m bell tent

Immerse yourself in history as you marvel at its impressive architecture. If you're a train enthusiast, don't miss the Bodiam Steam Railway for a delightful journey through picturesque landscapes. For a satisfying meal, head to Castle Inn pub, where you'll find a tempting selection of dishes, including excellent options for vegans and vegetarians. Indulge in a culinary experience while soaking up the welcoming atmosphere. If you're a fan of wild swimming, you're in for a treat! The jetty under the bridge offers an ideal spot for a refreshing dip in natural surroundings, adding a touch of adventure to your stay. Rye – Just a 20-minute drive from our camp If you're looking for a charming seaside town to explore, Rye is a must-visit destination. It offers a delightful array of shops, antique shops, restaurants, and quaint tea rooms. Stroll through its picturesque streets, soak up the unique atmosphere, and indulge in some retail therapy. Camber Sands – Only 30 minutes from camp Prepare to be captivated by the beauty of Camber Sands, an exceptional sandy beach that stretches as far as the eye can see. It's perfect for swimming and offers plenty of opportunities to explore the stunning sand dunes. Windsurfing enthusiasts will also find this location ideal for their adventures on the water. Cooden Beach – Unleash Your Inner Jet Skiing Enthusiast. Hastings – Just a 30-minute drive from camp Visit the Old Seaside town of Hastings, with its shingle beach which stretch for miles. Lovely unusual shops in the old town along with plenty of places to eat and drink. Plenty to keep the kids busy with mini golf, trampolines, arcades, a cute fishing museum, caves and an aquarium. The pier is quite an experience as are the cliff trains. A walk across the cliffs to Fairlight Glen I can hugely recommend Battle – Just a 20-minute drive from our camp Take a trip to Battle and immerse yourself in its charm. Explore the local shops, unwind at the bars and restaurants, and be sure to visit the impressive Battle Abbey. If you're interested, guided tours of the abbey can be booked, allowing you to delve deeper into its fascinating history. Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard – Only 9 minutes from camp Take a tour of the vineyard and learn about organic winemaking practices while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Batemans – Discover Rudyard Kipling's Ancestral House Head to Burwash and explore Batemans, the ancestral house of the renowned writer Rudyard Kipling. Step into the world of this literary genius and gain insights into his life and works. Great Dixter House and Gardens – Just 3 miles from camp Explore the beautifully landscaped gardens and be inspired by the enchanting surroundings. Tea Room and Essentials For a delightful tea experience, make your way to the tea room at the nearby plant nursery. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy some refreshments. Additionally, you can find essential items for purchase in case you run out of anything I have provided. If you require a larger supermarket, there is a sizable Sainsbury's located further down the A21 in Hastings. Hospitals and Veterinary Services In case of emergencies, the closest hospital is The Conquest Hospital, located at The Ridge, Hastings, Saint Leonards-on-sea TN37 7RD. It operates 24 hours a day, and its emergency department is also open 24 hours. For veterinary services, the nearest vet can be found at Hastings Road, Northiam, Rye TN31 6NH. Transportation Options If you prefer to use public transportation, there are several train stations within a reasonable distance from our camp. Robertsbridge is the closest at 2.9 miles, followed by Etchingham at 4.2 miles, and Battle at 5.8 miles. For taxi services, you can reach AK Rother at 01424 400247. If necessary, I can also provide shuttle services upon request.
